Reality TV star and BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has once again raised alarm over her unpaid prize money, claiming she is yet to receive the ₦100 million reward she won from the show in 2022.
The outspoken star made the revelation during a recent livestream session with her fans, where she reacted to a question about the much-talked-about prize. According to her, despite repeated public outcries, the organisers have still not fulfilled their promises.
Responding directly to a fan, Phyna said,
“First of all, them no give me N100M. Shebi when I dey cry online una talk say I dey lie. When I dey cry say dem dey owe me, una talk anything?”
This is not the first time the reality star has made such claims. In 2024, Phyna had taken to social media to allege that Multichoice Nigeria, organisers of Big Brother Naija, failed to fully deliver her prize package. She maintained that several components of the reward were still outstanding, including cash equivalents, an all-expenses-paid trip for two, and product supplies from sponsors.
Phyna stated that the prolonged delay has affected both her career and personal life, pushing her to speak out repeatedly despite facing criticism and disbelief from the public.
According to her, the unresolved payments left her with no choice but to make her grievances public, even as many dismissed her claims.
Meanwhile, Multichoice Nigeria has consistently maintained that it has met all its obligations to the BBNaija winner. However, Phyna has continued to dispute this position, insisting that she has not been fully compensated.
Her latest revelation has sparked renewed outrage and debate online, with fans questioning the credibility of the show’s organisers.
Reacting to the livestream, one fan, @JustAnuboy, wrote, “Big brother still dey owe Phyna till today ke. Abi Big brother na scam abi na her own just different?” Another user, @Adorable_Adora1, asked, “Is she trying to say that BBNaija scammed her?”
Sharing similar concerns, @lydiaonxx commented, “Seriously it makes no sense to not have paid her since!!! The show owners obviously made more than that, why wouldn’t they pay her completely?”
As the controversy resurfaces, many Nigerians are now calling on BBNaija organisers to address the claims transparently, as the silence continues to fuel speculation around one of the show’s biggest prize promises.
