Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has explained why she has no plans to remove the tattoos on her body despite openly embracing and renewing her Christian faith.
The actress addressed the topic during a recent interaction with a fan on social media who asked if she intended to get rid of her tattoos following her visible return to Christianity.
Responding candidly, Tonto said she had thought about it but ruled it out over concerns about the impact of tattoo removal on her skin.
“Yes love, I would have, but I’m stuck with them and I ain’t doing no laser to spoil my good skin,” she wrote. “And the good thing is Jesus don’t care.”
Her response quickly gained attention online, with fans praising her honesty and confidence in expressing her faith on her own terms.
In recent weeks, Tonto has shared several videos and posts showing her praying, speaking in tongues, and reflecting on her spiritual growth. She has repeatedly described herself as a work in progress, stressing that her relationship with God is personal and not driven by public expectations.
Beyond her faith journey, the actress has also made it clear that she is entering a new phase in her life with firmer boundaries. Tonto recently revealed that she will be more intentional about the people, events, and brands she associates with, insisting that respect for her values and beliefs is non-negotiable.
According to her, personal peace, spiritual growth, and self-respect now come before public opinion or industry pressure, as she continues to redefine herself both privately and professionally.
