Davido’s Sister — Money Alone Doesn’t Bring Success

Sharon Adeleke, sister to Afrobeats superstar Davido, has shared a heartfelt reflection on success, self-growth, and the lessons money alone cannot teach.

The billionaire daughter took to social media to open up about a personal conversation she had with her therapist, revealing how she once battled self-doubt despite having access to opportunities many only dream of.

In her candid reflection, Sharon admitted that she often questioned herself after seeing others build thriving businesses with far fewer resources.

“With all the access to funds & opportunities I’ve had, why am I not like those who started business with $5k and hit it big?” she asked.
“I’ve started businesses with more than $100k & it’s not clicking.”

According to Sharon, the realization hit her during therapy, where she began to understand that success is not driven by money alone.

She explained that her therapist helped her see the bigger picture, reminding her that growth is a journey.

“You don’t know what you don’t know,” Sharon recalled being told, noting that at the time, she lacked certain experiences, lessons, and awareness needed to truly succeed.

Reflecting on the conversation, Sharon emphasized that real success requires more than capital.

“Then I realized it doesn’t only take money for you to be successful,” she said.

She concluded by stressing the importance of knowledge, timing, experience, and personal growth, encouraging others not to measure their journeys against anyone else’s.
