Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has issued a public warning to admirers flooding her phone following the confirmation of her crashed marriage to MC Fish.
The actress made it clear that she is single but not ready for a new relationship, stressing that she needs time to heal and clear her head after years in marriage.
Taking to her Instagram page, Anita addressed the sudden attention from men, describing it as overwhelming and untimely.
“I’m single, yes!! I’m not searching plsssss. You guys should not crash my phone, plzzzzzzzzz. Zuonuike. 8 years and 11 days is not 8 months. I need my head cleared. Give me gigs biko, thank you. That’s my song right there.”
Anita’s message struck a firm but calm tone, making it clear that her focus right now is healing, self-reflection, and work, not romance.
She emphasised that her years with her estranged husband were significant and cannot be brushed aside overnight.
The actress had, on Tuesday, officially confirmed that her marriage had ended, describing the season as one marked by “deep reflection, pain and healing.”
“Life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage,” she wrote at the time, adding that she was choosing grace, growth and faith as she moves forward.
Before Anita’s confirmation, filmmaker Stanley Ontop had alleged last month that the actress and MC Fish had split after he reportedly left her for another woman, an allegation that triggered widespread online speculation.
Further claims from unnamed insiders alleged that the marriage faced serious emotional challenges, including pregnancy losses and domestic issues. Neither Anita Joseph nor MC Fish has publicly addressed or confirmed those specific allegations.
