D’banj thrills fans with intimate boat cruise album experience

On the evening of Friday, August 16th, the serene waters of Lagos played host to an unforgettable evening as D’banj took fans and music industry stakeholders on a melodic voyage. The iconic artiste, known for his electrifying performances, created an intimate setting aboard a  boat cruise, where the rhythm of his new album The Entertainer D’ Sequel  thrilled  all who were present.. It was more than just a listening experience; it was a harmonious journey that brought music lovers closer to the heart of D’banj’s artistry.

The event set sail from WBar Jetty, where Dbanj, with his characteristic passion, shared insights into his latest project, The album features upbeat tracks such as “Kala” featuring Awilo Logomba, “I Am Legend” with Wyclef Jean, “Healer” featuring Peruzzi, the popular “Koko Remix” with Akon, “Yours Truly” with Phyno, and “Worthy” featuring Youssou N’dour and other songs.

As the boat journeyed for over an hour, the atmosphere was filled with music, fun, and celebration. The scenic Lagos skyline provided a stunning backdrop, perfectly complementing Dbanj’s infectious energy and enthusiasm.

Sharing insights into the album, he said: “I said to myself most of my projects came out before the digital age, so I decided to sample some of my old new songs, for the new generation and put them on the platform. I wanted to have finished the album by December last year, but most of the songs were completed between January, February this year. Serious the Afropop version of Busta Rhymes’ Dangerous was done in 2021.Its the oldest song on the album.The song has an Afrobeats vibe if you listen to the beat so I collaborated on it with Egypt 80 band”.
