Popular singer, Adekunle Gold has averred that every of his new project presents an opportunity for him to outdo himself.

He said: “I’ve been reflecting on the anniversaries of my album, each one a milestone in my journey. Creating them involved countless hours in the studio, perfecting every line, and finding the right words to tell the stories I want to share. Each album holds a special place in my heart, not just for the music, but for the memories tied to their creation: late-night studio sessions, sharing shots of tequila, eating my favorite pasta from Bossa Nova in Los Angeles, forming new friendships, and even those moments when Deja interrupts my sessions at home, only to drop her own vibe on the mic.Every project reveals a new side of me, reminding me of the courage and discipline it takes to present something fresh each time. When I start a new project, I challenge myself to create my best work yet. That means pushing boundaries, learning new skills, and honing my craft in ways I haven’t before. It’s not always easy, but I’m committed to bringing my best to my art. I’m dedicated to my dreams, and that requires pushing through resistance and embracing the discomfort that comes with growth”.

He also reflected on his new fitness goal and how it has required discipline for him to stay committed to the goal.

“It’s day 45 of the new goal I set for myself: 100 push-ups and 100 crunches every single day, no matter how tired I am. I haven’t missed a day, and I’m proud of myself. To be very honest, it’s not about the push-ups, it’s about committing to something and showing up every day. It’s a mindset. I apply the same mindset when I’m working on a new project. I can spend a whole week looking for one line to complete a song that initially took me a few hours to write. I ask myself, “Kunle, are you going to give up and abandon the song, or are you going to push through every day, get up, and look for that line?”You can’t be disciplined without having intentions. Intentions are those things we really want to achieve—our goals, our dreams, our New Year’s resolutions”.
