The gospel music community is in mourning following the untimely passing of Aduke Ajayi, affectionately known by her stage name, Aduke Gold. Renowned for her soulful voice and deep passion for gospel music, Aduke Gold’s life story is one of inspiration and resilience, touching the hearts of many around the world.

Born into challenging circumstances, Aduke Gold was orphaned at the tender age of four. Despite the numerous obstacles she faced, her unwavering faith and determination propelled her forward, transforming her from a young girl with a dream into a celebrated gospel artist.

Aduke Gold’s music career was marked by a series of uplifting songs that resonated with audiences, most notably her breakthrough single, “Nitori Ogo,” which became an anthem of hope and perseverance.

In addition to her musical achievements, Aduke Gold was a scholar with a degree in History and International Relations, a higher degree in Child Psychology, and several diplomas. Despite battling vertigo and other health challenges, she remained steadfast in her mission to use her music as a source of comfort and encouragement to others.

Initially performing under the name Aduke Penkele, she later adopted the stage name Aduke Gold, a symbol of her personal growth and transformation as an artist and individual. Beyond her music, Aduke Gold was also a passionate educator, dedicating herself to teaching young children, particularly those with special needs.

Her live performances were nothing short of remarkable, with one of her most memorable being a heartfelt tribute to the late gospel artist Baba Ara. Aduke Gold’s influence extended beyond her music, as she often spoke of her admiration for both gospel and secular artists, including legends like D.A. Fasoyin, The Ayo ni C&S Choir, Tope Alabi, King Sunny Ade, and Ebenezer Obey.
